Balls 21 (DVD)

Balls 21 started on an optimistic note with Tim Covey finding the remnants of rocket left buried in the playa from Balls 20. Tim didn’t have time at the conclusion of the 2011 event to dig the ballisticly placed rocket out of the ground, so he plugged in the GPS coordinates and a year later he was in possession of crushed miscellany of his former project he was attempting to win the Carmack Prize with. The launch had not even begun and there was already a trashed rocket on display. You knew you were at Balls before the first rocket took to the sky. This year’s event took place on September 21, 22 and 23, 2012.
